Reverend Amy Carpenter- Pastor
Reverend Amy Carpenter was called to pastor at Christ the King upon her ordination in January, 2019. A native of North Carolina, she is a second-career pastor who previously worked in the communications field as a writer and editor. At Christ the King, Pastor Amy shares preaching and teaching responsibilities with Teaching Pastor, David Keener. She also serves as the primary point of contact for pastoral care and counseling needs. Pastor Amy says the most rewarding aspect of her work is the unique opportunity she has been given to walk alongside God’s people, to share life with them, and to encourage and nurture them in their faith. Reverend David Keener- Teaching Pastor
Reverend David Keener was called to pastor Christ the King Lutheran in 1996 after serving a southeastern Michigan congregation for 11 years. His passion is preaching and teaching people about the love of God in Jesus Christ.  He and his wife, Joyce, have three grown children and two grandchildren.  In the fall of 2020  Pastor Dave transitioned into the role of part-time Teaching Pastor, with primary responsibilities in worship, teaching, and Christian Education. Kevin Reynolds – Associate Minister of OutreachÂ
Kevin joined the staff of Christ the King Lutheran in 2012 as the Minister of Missions, Outreach and Education. While spending most of his working career in the field of Medical Physics, a serendipitous visit to Christ the King in September of 2010 led to worship leadership at the 11:00 modern service and a new vocation in ministry.  In the fall of 2020 Kevin transitioned to a part-time role with responsibilities in worship leadership, technology growth, and local outreach. Kevin and his wife Stacy bring over 40 years of music and church leadership to CtK.  They have three grown children, Megan, Chase, and Blake, three beautiful grandchildren; Aubrey Ann, Caroline Willow, and Eli James Quinn!!      Kevin@ChristTheKingEvans.org

Debbie Johnson – Church Secretary
Debbie joined the staff at Christ the King in April of 2009, and is the cheery voice and face you encounter when you contact or come by the church during the week. Â She has been married to her wonderful husband, John, since 1998, and they are active members of Grace Baptist Church in Evans, GA. They have one grown son, Mitchell.

Merlin Parsons – Director of Youth Ministry
Merlin Parsons came to Christ the King in 2016. A native of Pennsylvania, Merlin brings over 18 years of experience working with youth and children in a variety of settings. His passion is sharing the love of Jesus Christ with young people and seeing them grow in their faith. Merlin and his wife Ramona have been in the Augusta area since 2009. Merlin is a huge sports fan (Go New York!), enjoys reading and spoiling two dachshunds, Caesar and Charlee.

Steve Hansen – Choir Director
Steve has directed the Choir at Christ the King since 2017, coming to us with decades of directing experience. Â Steve is also well known throughout the community in theatrical circles for his directing and performing skills. Â Steve lives in Evans with his wife Cindy and son Zach, with daughter Katy traveling the world also employed in the performing arts

Suellen Buckley – Organist
Suellen has been the church organist at Christ the King for more than 25 years.Â
 Samantha McMillon – Nursery Care
On Sunday mornings Samantha introduces our youngest worshippers to Jesus! Getting these young ones ready for KIDZONE! is no small task, with songs to sing, stories to tell, and love to share. Â Luckily, she sometimes has the help of her own wonderful daughter, Alena!
Steve Dilworth –Â Buildings and Groundskeeper
Steve has been keeping our campus beautiful-Â both inside and out- for a long time!
Lucy Reynolds –Â Church Security
Lucy has served as the head of Church Security for ten years. Â Always on the alert, she is committed to maintaining a cheerful and loving, yet safe and secure environment here at Christ the King.
