Reverend Amy Carpenter received her call to ministry on a mission trip to Guatemala in 2012. A second career pastor, she previously spent 20 years working in the communications field as a writer and editor.
Her first encounter with CTK came when she traveled even further south from her native North Carolina to Georgia to serve as our vicar in 2018 (a final step in her seminary journey). Upon completion of her pastoral internship, she was invited to stay on as a permanent member of the CTK pastoral team.
Pastor Amy says the most rewarding aspect of her work is the unique opportunity she has been given to walk alongside God’s people, to share life with them, and to encourage and nurture them in their faith.
A few of her favorite things about living in the CSRA include peach season, the spring Masters tournament and close proximity to babysit her nephews, Walter and Jack, who live in nearby Martinez.
