
Pastor David Keener has been at Christ the King Lutheran since 1996. Prior to coming to Evans he served for eleven years as the pastor of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Lake Orion, Michigan. Pastor Dave holds an Associate in Science degree in Accounting from Brandywine College in Wilmington, Delaware, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from West Chester University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettsburg, Pennsylvania.
Pastor Dave and his wife Joyce are currently "empty nesters" but encourage their three grown children and grandchild to visit often. Pastor Dave enjoys cooking, reading, Tai Chi, puttering around the house and showing pictures of his grandaughter to everyone he meets.
Edna Morgan came to Christ the King Lutheran in 2003. Edna is a native Detroiter but has lived in the South for the past 30 years. Edna brings a wealth of talent and experience to our congrregation. Over the years she has served as a church musician and choir director in Baptist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Lutheran and Catholic churches. She is highly involved in performing and advocating for the arts in the local community. She is an accomplished jazz musician and is well known in the Augusta area. Edna lives with her husband Fred, and they spend their time "sharing the love" with children, grandchildren and their beloved wiener dogs.
Suellen Buckley – Has served as the organist/accompanist for Christ the King Lutheran Church for many years. Suellen is a graduate of The State University of New York and did Graduate Studies at the University of Hartford. She is on the faculty of the Episcopal Day School in Augusta.
Janet Neumar has been our child care worker for the past 10 years. Known to all the children as Miss Janet, kids can't wait to get here on Sunday morning to see her.
