| Steeple Survey
The motion to add a steeple to the current Christ the King Lutheran Church building has recently been introduced. What do you think about this? There have been two options presented, and these prospective samples are currently mounted on the white sandwich board in the Narthex. Please review these pictures, and respond to the survey on-line. Follow this link, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CVBXD7V, to be taken to the survey, or scan the QR code in the narthex with your mobile device to access the survey.
Saturday Sacks are Back
In our community Jesus is represented by Christ the King Lutheran Church when it comes to feeding children who don’t have resources for healthy eating. We join with other churches and agencies in the area to supply “Saturday Sacks” at the end of each week so at-risk children will have nutritional meals on weekends. Our assigned school is Lakeside Middle, and your Choir handles the preparation of the Saturday Sacks during the school year as part of their outreach. The Pantry helps us by supplying some of the resources, but the balance is provided by your giving. Please consider an ongoing or one-time gift of any amount to the Saturday Sacks ministry.
GED Teachers/Assistants Needed
The Mosaic Center is looking for anyone interested in teaching/assisting with their GED program. There are two sessions; a morning session on Monday/Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, and an evening session on Tuesday/Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Help is needed with both sessions, but especially for the evening classes. Please see Kevin, or contact Mark Niklinski at 706-825-7214, email@example.com.
Use of Facilities
If you are planning an event or meeting here at the church, please be sure to contact
the church office by phone or email to be sure that the space is available. This will
also insure that all meetings and events are put on the calendar to avoid any conflicts.
The Flower Chart for 2018 is up. Please sign up to provide flowers for the altar in 2018. The cost is $40.
The Bazaar is on its way. Will you be ready to participate? It’s not too early to be working on your projects, gathering supplies and materials and putting your hands and hearts to the task of making the 2018 Bazaar the best yet. The date to mark your calendar is Friday, November 2nd, and Saturday November 3rd, but we’ll need your finished projects by the end of October. So it’s certainly not too early to begin!
