 Golden Harvest Food Bank

In our nation of plenty, no one should go hungry - one hungry child is one hungry child too many.
Golden Harvest Food Bank is a locally-supported, non-profit, charitable food distribution organization that provides grocery products to the hungry through their partner agencies and churches. Their service area encompasses 30 counties within Georgia and South Carolina.

Augusta Urban Ministries works in the CSRA to provide help and hope for the hurting. They are a faith-based non-profit organization with roots in the United Methodist Church. The programs they are involved include: food, clothing, children’s services, emergency assistance, and transitional housing. Through these ministries, which are open to all in need, they stree the conviction that every human being deserves a sense of self worth and respect, a life with dignity, availability of services, quality of life, and decent, affordable housing.

During the holiday season, they serve hundreds of needy families with food, Christmas gifts, coats, and bikes through theirWhite Christmas program,  these items are distributed throughout the CSRA several weeks prior to Christmas.   Augusta Urban Ministries has been involved in the community for the last 41 years.

At The Lydia Project, women facing cancer are not alone.  Women are typically introduced to Lydia with the arrival of a beautiful tote made with love by faithful volunteers. Each tote comes with a network of support and prayerful encouragement reaching women throughout Augusta, nationwide, and beyond.
